Payment Troubleshooting

| Money debited but GOAPS shows failure | Check payment status again before another payment. An unacknowledged debit is normally returned within about 15 working days. |
| Two payments for one application | The duplicate amount is automatically refunded to the same account, normally within about 15 working days. |

GATE Login FAQs
Questions and Exceptions
Do I need to upload all my marksheets to DigiLocker?+
No. The GATE 2027 registration FAQ does not require Class 10, Class 12, UG or PG marksheets for the examination application. Admission to a postgraduate programme is a separate process and can require academic records.
Can I use an unverified DigiLocker account?+
Use a verified account. If two accounts exist and only one is verified, choose that one. If neither is verified, verify one before proceeding.
My bank account was debited. Is the application complete?+
Not necessarily. GOAPS must acknowledge the payment. Check the application status before paying again; a bank debit by itself does not show that the portal received the fee.
Does Application Accepted mean I have an M.Tech seat?+
No. It means the examination application has passed scrutiny. Admission still requires the relevant institute or counselling application, programme eligibility and selection.
