How to Fill GATE 2023 Application Form?

To apply for the GATE 2023 Application Form, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: GATE Registration

• To fill out the GATE 2023 Application Form, candidates need to register themselves on the official website of the GATE online application processing system (GOAPS). 
• New candidates can register themselves by entering the following details Candidates' Names, Country of Residence, Email Addresses, Mobile numbers, and Passwords for future login. 
• Candidates will get access to GOAPS, after the successful registration by entering the required credentials. 
• Candidates need to click on the button ‘Submit’ after entering all the mentioned details. To the registered mobile number and email ID, One Time Password will be sent (OTP). 
• To complete the registration of GATE 2023, candidates need to use the One Time Password will be sent (OTP).
•  A unique enrolment ID will be given to the candidates who have successfully registered themselves.

Step 2: GATE 2023 Application Form Filling

To proceed with the Form Filling process of the GATE 2023 Application, candidates need to login into the official website of GOAPS by entering the GATE 2023 Enrolment ID and Password. Candidates can fill out the application form for GATE 2023, once they log in. The details that candidates need to fill up while filling out the GATE 2023 Application Form are:

• Applicant’s Personal Information: To fill the application form for GATE 2023, applicants need to enter the following personal details Candidates' Names, Dates of Birth, Nationality, Category, Gender, etc.
• GATE Paper: Candidates need to select the GATE 2023 Paper for which they want to appear for while filling out the GATE 2023 application form.
• GATE Exam Center and Exam City: While filling the application form for GATE 2023, candidates need to select three choices of Exam Centers and exam city of GATE 2023.
• Correspondence Address: Applicants need to add their correspondence address for future communication.
• Details of Qualifying Degree: Candidates are required to fill in the details of their qualifying degree like Name of college/ university, Discipline, Name of the Qualifying degree, Year of Passing, etc.

Step 3: Upload Documents

To complete the application form of GATE 2023, candidates need to upload the following documents which are given below:

• Good quality of the image of the applicant’s photograph
• Scanned copy of the Academic Qualification in form of pdf.
• Scanned copy of SC/ ST/ PwD Category certificate in form of pdf.
• Details of the valid id proof like PAN Card/ Passport/ Aadhar Card/ Voter ID, etc.
• Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net-banking details for payment of GATE 2023 Application Fee.

Step 4: Payment of the Application Fee of GATE 2023

The application fee of GATE 2023 varies for both Nationals and Foreign candidates. The payment can be made through a credit card/ debit card or net banking. The Application Fee for GATE 2023 is neither transferable nor refundable. The details of the category-wise application fee for GATE 2023 are given in the below table:

Step 5: Declaration of Acceptance

Applicants need to accept and read the declaration statement, before submitting the GATE 2023 application form on the GOAPS website.

To check the application status of GATE 2023, applicants need to log in at the registration link of GATE 2023 by using login credentials. If the application status of GATE 2023 is ‘Under Process/ Under Scrutiny’, then the applicants don’t have to worry. The conducting authorities will scrutinize all the application forms for GATE 2023. Applicants whose application needs to be rectified in supporting documents/signature/ photograph will be notified by SMS or automatic email. Even after the application website is closed, the process of scrutiny will continue.

The following information or documents that are required to fill the GATE 2023 Application Form are:

• Personal information like Name of the Applicant, Parents' name, Date of Birth (DOB), Mobile Number, etc.
• Details of Eligibility degree.
• Communication Address (with PIN code).
• College Address and Name (including PIN code).
• Select of GATE 2023 examination cities.
• GATE paper (subject).
• Scanned image of Applicant's signature and photograph as per the prescribed format and size.
• Scanned copy of the academic certificate in form of pdf. (Provisional Certificate or Degree or certificate from the Head of the Institute/ Department.
• Scanned copy of SC/ST/ PwD Category Certificate or Dyslexic certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
• Declaration for candidates of J&K (Applicants who are not able to obtain documents.
• Details of the valid ID proof i.e., PAN Card/ Passport/ Aadhar Card/ Voter ID, etc.
• Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net-banking details for payment of GATE 2023 Application Fee.

GATE 2023 Application Form Correction

Candidates can avail themselves of the GATE 2023 application form correction facility if a candidate makes any mistake in the GATE 2023 Application Form. After the submission of the Application Form of GATE 2023, it goes under scrutiny and the responsible authority will inform and check about the mistakes for the correction process. 

• Applicants need to pay an additional fee for changing the details in the GATE 2023 application form through the Form Correction Window of GATE. 
• The details that can be corrected before paying the application fee are - Graduation Details, Communication Address, Gender, Category Date of Birth, PwD Status, Dyslexia, and other learning disabilities, College Location, and Name, Exam Paper, Roll Number, Registration number, Details of Guardian/ Parents/ Correspondence address.

The details that cannot be corrected in the submitted Application Form of GATE 2023 are Email Id, Mobile Number, etc.

How to make corrections in the Application Form of GATE 2023?

Below the process to make correction in the Application form of GATE 2023 are given:

• Log in at the official portal of GOAPS.
• Candidates need to log in by entering the following details like Enrollment ID/ Password/ Email Address, and Captcha.
• To make the changes, candidates need to click on the option ‘Edit GATE 2023 Application Form’.
• After making corrections to the information required, candidates need to verify the GATE 2023 Application Form.
• Then, Save and View the GATE 2023 Application Form.
• Submit the GATE 2023 Application Form and go ahead with the payment process after verifying all the changes.
• Lastly, download the corrected application form of GATE 2023 for future reference.
