• GATE 2024 scores will be valid for only one year for PSU recruitment.
• Some PSUs may consider a year-old GATE scorecard but it depends upon the PSU to consider the scorecard or not.
• Cutoff for PSU recruitment also depends upon the PSU and selected domain. But the cutoff is the maximum, even higher than the IITs for PSUs.
• PSUs invite applications from top rankers and then select candidates based on performance in the interview.
• Candidates can analyze the cutoff trends of different PSUs to know more about PSU recruitment.
• Top-ranking PSUs like GAIL and NTPC invite applications from the top 50 rankers only while PSUs like Power Grid invite applications from the top 200 rankers only.
• Candidates with a slightly lower rank can also get jobs in PSUs if they perform well in the interview. The number of seats offered also depends upon the total number of vacancies released by the PSU.
