GATE Validity for Other Engineering Colleges

There is no fixed score for getting admission to private or semi-government engineering colleges as they demand a valid GATE scorecard. However, the cutoff may depend from college to college like the cutoff may be higher for deemed universities but lesser for the autonomous privately operated colleges. Some colleges demand a valid scorecard, for that, the candidate must have a GATE scorecard within the validity period.

GATE Validity for PSU Recruitment

PSU is the main reason for an increasing number of applicants in the GATE exam every year as getting a job in PSU is a dream for almost all engineering graduates in India. Some key points related to GATE validity for PSU recruitment are:

  • GATE 2024 scores will be valid for only one year for PSU recruitment.

  • PSUs invite applications from top rankers and then select candidates based on performance in the interview.
  • Candidates can analyze the cutoff trends of different PSUs to know more about PSU recruitment.
  • Top-ranking PSUs like GAIL and NTPC invite applications from the top 50 rankers only while PSUs like Power Grid invite applications from the top 200 rankers only.
  • Candidates with a slightly lower rank can also get jobs in PSUs if they perform well in the interview. The number of seats offered also depends upon the total number of vacancies released by the PSU.
People Also Ask:
