How Long Is the GATE 2027 Score Valid?

The GATE score is valid for three years from the result announcement. The scheduled GATE 2027 result date is 19 March 2027. The exam date, payment date and date on which you save the scorecard do not start separate validity periods.

A valid score is only one admission condition. The institution can specify an accepted paper, qualifying degree, minimum marks, interview or other selection requirement. GATE counselling separates the IIT offer process from CCMT.

Scorecard Download and Validity Are Different

The end of the download facility does not turn a valid score into an expired score. Save the scorecard during the available window; the later INR 500 charge is a download charge, not a fee to extend validity.

Who Receives a Scorecard?

A GATE 2027 scorecard is issued to candidates whose marks reach the SC/ST/PwD qualifying threshold for that paper. Receiving a scorecard is therefore not identical to qualifying in your own category. A General-category candidate can receive a scorecard yet remain below the General qualifying mark.

Candidates below the scorecard threshold will receive a performance report later; the release date has not been announced. A report showing marks is not a qualifying scorecard or an admission offer.

Admission and PSU Score Years

The 2027 COAP and CCMT accepted-year lists have not been announced. The 2026 examples show how multiple years were handled; they are not a confirmed 2027 list. When you hold more than one valid score, follow that admission system's method of choosing or reporting scores.
