GATE 2026 result has been announced on 19 March 2026, by IIT Guwahati on its official website. Candidates can download the PDF copy of GATE Scorecard 2026 from the GATE official website or GOAPS portal from 27 March 2026 to 31 May 2026.

The GATE scorecard is valid for three years from the date of the result declaration. This means that candidates who qualify in GATE 2026 can use their scores until 2027 for admissions to postgraduate programs in IITs, NITs, and other reputed institutions, as well as for PSU recruitment.
The GATE 2026 official answer key will be announced by IIT Roorkee by the end of February third week, for all the 30 papers held on 1, 2, 15, and 16 Feb 2026. The GATE 2026 provisional answer key has been released and the challenge window is now open. The last date to challenge the provisional answer key is 1st March 2026.
After releasing the final answer key, no changes can be made, and it will be used for calculating the scores in GATE 2026.
After the preliminary answer key is published, candidates can now raise objections if they feel that there are errors in the solutions given. They can do so by submitting their objections to the official answer key through the online portal within the stipulated time.

The GATE 2026 expected cutoff may vary from Computer Science(CS) between 27-29, for the General category while Electrical Engineering (EE) can be 31. Mechanical Engineering( ME) and Civil Engineering(CE) are expected to be near 28 and 30
