GATE COAP 2024 Registration

Candidates who have qualified GATE are eligible for GATE COAP Counselling. GATE-qualified candidates can register for GATE counseling online.

• Candidates will get login details through email or SMS after completing the registration process. 
• Read the instructions and procedure and accept the terms of instructions.
• Fill all the necessary details such as Candidate Name, GATE Registration Number, GATE Scores, DOB, Email ID, Mobile Number.
• Once you submit the registration form, candidates will receive the login details via email or SMS.
• Login again using the credentials provided and verify all the registration details.
• Enter additional GATE score if any, in the last three years and then submit.

Online COAP 2024 Admission Acceptance Process

• After completing his or her online registration, the candidate will be able to view all of the available admission/job offer details.
• Candidates must log in to the candidate site with proper credentials to verify their status.
• The seat allotment option displays institute-specific allotment information.
• During each round of offers, candidates will be able to select one of the available options. In each round, a candidate can choose a maximum of one offer from all available offers.
• The following are the three alternatives accessible to candidates: Accept and Freeze, Retain and Wait and Reject and Wait.
• Candidates must complete the submission procedure by clicking the Submit button once they have made their final decision. If a candidate fails to do so, the submission procedure will be considered incomplete, and the candidate will not be able to access COAP 2024.
• Candidates who accept and freeze their decision must then proceed to the respective institution's admission portal or the PSU job portal to finish the rest of the admission procedure.

Documents Required for GATE CAOP 2024 

No document is required for COAP 2024 Registration. During reporting at RC, students will be asked to bring the following documents for document verification by the participating institutes:

• Letter of provisional seat assignment.
• GATE Score Card with Self-Attested Copy (2023, 2022, 2021)
• Photo identification is required.
• As proof of date of birth, use an original birth certificate issued by a competent authority or a Class X (High School) Board Certificate.
• Marks sheet for class 12
• Sheet of marks from the qualifying exams (all semesters).
• a bachelor's degree or a provisional certificate
• Certificate of classification (if applicable).
• Three color photographs, passport-sized.
• Proof of seat acceptance cost.
• Printout of the Registration form with the selections that have been locked.
• Certificate of Migration
• Certificate of Transfer
• Original Conduct Certificate from the previous institution's Head.
• All original documents must be photocopied and self-attested in one set.

In the event that the result is pending, an original Course Completion Certificate from the Head of the University/Institute is required.

GATE COAP 2024 Counselling Options

GATE COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) was active solely for admissions to IITs. GATE 2023 qualifying applicants who want to apply for M. Tech admissions at IITs must do so through the GATE COAP 2024 site. Candidates can opt for three different counselling options.

Option 1- Accept and Freeze

• A candidate chooses this option if he or she is willing to accept the existing offers and does not want to be considered for higher preferences in future rounds.
• Candidates who pick this option will be disqualified from the current round's other rejected offers;
• However, if a superior preferred offer is presented in the subsequent round, the existing 'Retain and Wait' offer will be released. On the same offer, an applicant can only select "Retain and Wait" twice (same institute and programme).

Option 2: Wait and Retain

• Candidates who express partial acceptance to any of the available offers and would like to be evaluated for upgrading to the candidate's higher preferences, if any, in the upcoming round of offers should select this option.
• Candidates who choose this option will be disqualified from the current round's other rejected offers.
• The existing 'Retain and Wait' offer will be released if a better-preferred offer is made in the following round. An applicant can only choose "Retain and Wait" twice on the same offer (same institute and programme).
• However, in the succeeding round(s) of admission offered by the participating academic Institutes, the candidate will be considered for other higher preferences, if applicable.
• After selecting the 'Retain and Wait' option, the candidate should confirm the decision by clicking submit.

Option 3: Reject the offer and wait

• If the candidate does not want to accept any of the admission offers in the current round, this option should be chosen.
• In the succeeding round(s) of admission given in any participating academic Institutes, the candidate will be considered for other higher preferences, if any. The candidate should confirm his or her decision by clicking submit after selecting the 'Reject and Wait' option.

To finish the counselling process successfully, candidates must remember the following instructions.

• Candidates must apply to each of the IITs separately.
• At the time of GATE counselling, aspirants must present all original papers for verification.
• Candidates are needed to consult the official website for all the latest details after the GATE result is announced.
• Candidates are urged to apply to all Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for all programmes for which they are eligible, such as M.Tech, ME, M.Sc, etc., to enhance their chances of getting into IITs.
