GATE Result 2026: COAP Counselling

MTech admission at IITs is done based on the COAP Counselling. The registration procedure for COAP is as follows:

Step 1: Qualifying candidates can register themselves in the COAP portal by their name, GATE registration number(s), valid GATE score(s), date of birth, email address, and mobile number.
Step 2: Registration is successful only when a candidate completes the log-in procedure using the details sent via email and SMS.
Step 3: Candidates should enter all valid GATE scores while filling out the application.
Step 4: Clicking the submit button completes the registration process.

The admission procedure for COAP is described below:

Step 1: After registration, log in to the COAP portal.
Step 2: Participate in the seat allotment process based on the institute-wise allotment details.
Step 3: Candidates have options for seat reservation based on the following options-

Option	Details
Accept and Freeze	Candidates opting for this option will not be eligible for further rounds
Retain and Wait	Candidates accepting this offer partially are eligible for the next rounds. In case a higher preference is made later, the current one will be cancelled
Reject and Wait	Candidate needs to choose this option if he/she doesnt accept any of the offers available.

Step 4: Once accepted, the candidate needs to visit the institute's website for admission confirmation.

GATE Result 2026: CCMT Counselling

CCMT Counselling is a common platform for candidates taking admission in various PG Courses (MTech/MArch/MPlan) based on their GATE marks. The registration process is as follows:

Step 1: Meeting the eligibility criteria of 6.5 CGPA and a valid GATE score
Step 2: Qualifying candidates can register themselves in the CCMT portal by paying a registration fee of INR 3,500 for General/EWS/OBC and INR 3,000 for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Step 3: Candidates need to select their preferred choice in the counselling process.
Step 4: If a candidate fails to lock their seat within the stipulated time, then the system will automatically lock their seat based on the last options available.
Step 5: Seats are allotted based on the GATE score and the reservation seat policy.
Step 6: Final admission is done by accepting the seat and paying the admission fee.
