The CAT cutoff for IIM Ahmedabad this year 2024 is quite similar to the previous year, with a qualifying cutoff of 85 percentile and a final cutoff in the 99–100 percentile range. The final selection for the MBA program is based on a composite score, which takes into account multiple factors- CAT score of 65%, Application Rating (AR) score of 30%. IIM Ahmedabad Admission process is offered through two phases:

  • Phase 2: Short-listed candidates will be invited for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI). This is an analysis of the candidate's writing abilities, communication, leadership potential, and his suitability to the MBA course.

Eligibility For IIM Ahmedabad MBA Admissions

The MBA requires at least a bachelor's degree with 50% marks or more along with relaxation in the norms for the reserved categories,while for the International MBA students, a minimum GMAT score of 645 is desirable. For specialized programs under FPIP and FPM, individuals with considerable managerial experience or strong academic qualifications are required.

International MBA In addition to the MBA eligibility, candidates must have a GMAT score of at least 700 (previous format) or 645 (GMAT Focus Edition), with a minimum Integrated Reasoning (IR) score of 5.
Fellow Program for Industry Professionals (FPIP) Must have substantial managerial experience from a reputable private organization listed on a premier stock exchange. Also, must have demonstrated research potential through papers, journals, patents, or technology transfer.
FPM (Fellow Programme in Management) Master's degree with at least 60% marks (or 2-year post-graduate diploma with at least 60%), and a bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks.

IIM Ahmedabad Admission Process 2025-27

IIMA's admission process will first be based on -

Preliminary Screening based on scores obtained in CAT 2024, followed by shortlisting for AWT & PI. The evaluation will be done on the basis of a composite score derived from CAT performance-65%, AR score-30% and AWT & PI performance-5%.

Step 2: Shortlisting for AWT & PI

Can I get IIM Ahmedabad with 95 Percentile?

Yes, a 95 percentile score can get you into IIM Ahmedabad, but it depends on your category:
