IIM Indore CAT 2022 Cut off and admission criteria for MBA Admissions 2023-25 will be released online for domestic and international candidates. The overall qualifying CAT 2022 Cut off (expected) is 90%ile for the General & EWS categories, 80%ile for NC-OBC candidates, 60%ile for SC, and 50%ile for ST & PwD candidates. 

  • Candidates who qualify the minimum sectional and overall CAT 2022 Cut off eligibility criteria are moved for the Stage 2 selection process that includes WAT and PI rounds.
  • IIM Shortlist the candidates for the WAT-PI round, based on the composite score calculated of CAT 2022 score (20%), SSC score (34%), HSC score (40%), Diversity factor (6%).

IIM Indore CAT Cut off 2022 & Selection Criteria

IIM Indore CAT selection criteria are released on the official website of IIM Indore for both international and domestic candidates. Candidates need to fulfil the minimum overall percentile criteria to be eligible for further rounds.

  1. The minimum overall qualifying percentile for the candidate belonging to the general category is 90 percentile, for NC-OBC the criteria are 80 percentile and for SC it is 60 percent while for ST and PWD the minimum qualifying percentile is 50. 
  2. Qualifying the minimum overall criteria is not enough to get selected for round 2, candidates need to clear the sectional cutoffs to get selected for WAT and PI rounds. 
  3. IIMs select candidates for the second round based on a composite score, calculated after taking four things into account CAT score(20%), SSC score(34%), HSC(40%), and diversity factor (6%).
  4. During a pandemic, IIM Indore clarified that WAT may not be conducted if the PI round is conducted online mode. In such scenarios, the composite score is calculated based on the remaining component excluding the WAT round.
  5. International candidates need to qualify for GMAT (graduate management admission test) to be eligible for admission in IIMs followed by the further WAT and PI round.
  6. International candidates require a minimum GMAT score of 700 to be eligible for admission to top IIMs including IIM Indore. 
  7. Candidates who have completed graduation in the previous year’s assessment are also eligible to apply for admission in IIMs based on their passing or promotion certificate.

  • Those candidates who meet the first round specified criteria will be considered for round 2 of the selection process
  • For selection in round 2 is mandatory to score equal to or above then the below-mentioned CAT Cut off.

Stage 2 - Shortlist for WAT & PI Rounds

Candidates who will qualify the first round of CAT Cut Off criteria will be shortlisted for stage 2 of written Aptitude test and personal interview. 

Based on the composite score calculations, candidates will be called for WAT & PI. The below table shows the computation of the composite score:-

IIM Indore CAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

IIM Indore will release CAT eligibility criteria for the candidates who are planning to take admission in the 2023-25 batch. 

Candidates Graduated in AY 2021 or Before

  • Candidates should need to have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in the general category and for the reserved category, 45% marks are required.
  • The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be based on the practice followed by the institution/university from which the candidate has been awarded the degree.

Candidates Graduated in AY year 2021 or After

  • Candidates should need to have a Bachelor’s degree with “promotion or pass” instead of “award of marks”. 
  • The decision of certification of the pass has been taken because different institutes might have used different methods to evaluate the performance of candidates during COVID-19.
  • There is a relaxation for those candidates who are in the final year with an “award” of marks. But these candidates will also have to submit the course completion certificate issued by the Principal or HOD before June 30, 2023, if they get selected for the final admission offer. 
  • IIM Indore may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process. Applicants should note that the mere fulfilment of the minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IIM Indore. 
  • Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.

IIM Indore Selection Criteria for International Candidates

A candidate who holds a foreign passport will be considered an international applicant for admission to the postgraduate program at IIM Indore. Candidates who want to take admission to the IIM Indore should need to fulfil the eligibility criteria:

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must have a valid graduate management aptitude (GMAT) score with a minimum score of 700. 
  • The scores of the GMAT taken from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022, will only be considered for processing the application.
  • Candidates who have cleared their graduation before AY 2021 or before are eligible to apply to the IIM Indore.

Application Process

International applicants seeking admission in two years of PGP course in IIM Indore can take the GMAT in their country and apply for admission in the prescribed application form which is available at the official website of the institute.

All the other required documents and identity proofs can be checked on IIM Indore’s official website which is shown below:

  • Completed Application Form
  • Self-Attested copy of the latest GMAT scores 
  • Self-Attested copy of the latest TOEFL score, if the medium of instruction has not been English
  • Three letters of recommendation from a competent authority (Teacher/Employer)
  • A Statement of Purpose
  • Self-Attested photocopy of Passport
  • A non-refundable application processing fee of US $100

Selection Process

The shortlisting for a personal interview (PI) would be based on the above-mentioned eligibility criteria. 

  • Candidates who got shortlisted for PI will be intimated by the first week of February 2023 via mail by IIM Indore.
  • IIM Indore will conduct the admission interviews for the shortlisted candidate's online mode /offline (in Delhi and Mumbai only) depending on the situation.
  • However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the centres at any time if the situation so warrants. 
  • Candidates shortlisted for PI will have to attend PI, failing which they will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process. 
  • IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by the Admissions Committee.
  • Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of the PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process. 

Final Selection

The final selection of the candidates will be based on the merit list generated by the institute using the final composite score scored by the candidate (FCS). the final calculation of the composite score is done as follows-

NOTE - IIM Indore has earmarked a total of 10 Seats for the International/ Foreign applicants under the provision of the Supernumerary Quota (this will be separate from the regular intake of the PGP program).
