
IIM Amritsar has released the admission criteria for the MBA class of 2025-27. The selection process mainly includes CAT scores followed by a Personal Interview for selected candidates.
The minimum percentage cut-off for the general category is at 90 percentile but a lot of weightage is given for PI in final selection which is around 70%. Accepted Exams are CAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE, and UGC/CSIR-JRF.

WAT in Admission Process at IIM Amritsar:
WAT Stage: In addition to the Personal Interview (PI), all candidates are also required to appear for a WAT (Written Ability Test) as part of the selection process. This is usually taken up after the declaration of CAT results and candidates' shortlisting for the PI round.
Purpose of WAT: WAT tests the candidature's ability to reflect and present ideas clearly, through writing. It analyses written communication skills, clarity of thought, and the manner in which arguments can be constructed.
