IIM Visakhapatnam selection criteria for 2025-27 session include CAT cut-offs, academic record, and Personal Interview (PI). Last year, the qualifying CAT cut-off percentile for General category candidates was 82%ile. It is expected to be the same this year too.
According to the IIM Visakhapatnam PGP admission policy candidates are selected on the basis of CAT score, academic performance, work experience, and diversity factors.
The cut-off for the shortlisting of the Personal Interview (PI) round is expected to be released in the first week of January 2025. Candidates who have selected IIM Visakhapatnam as one of their preferences in the CAT 2024 Application form and also meet the minimum CAT 2024 percentile will be eligible to apply for PI shortlisting.
Admission to the PGP program of IIM Vishakapatnam is a three-phase selection process that includes:

IIM Visakhapatnam: Selection and Admission Process for CAT 2024
The multi-step IIM Visakhapatnam admissions procedure for the 2025–2027 batch includes several crucial elements. From the initial to the final selection, which is based on CAT scores, educational background, and work experience.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for IIM Visakhapatnam:

Shortlisting for PI
Once the CAT results are out a pre-PI rank list based on parameters will be created. Candidates who get shortlisted on the basis of these parameters will be further called for the PI round.
- IIM Visakhapatnam will consider the candidates' percentage scores in Class 10 and Class 12 board exams.
- These scores are adjusted by dividing each such score by the 90th percentile score obtained in that board. For candidates who qualify, final scores obtained by the candidates are used for the bachelor’s degree and professional degrees (if any).
- Next, all qualified confirmed candidates with Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accounting, and Company Secretary certifications will be eligible for weightage under the professional course.
Note- Candidates must note that the maximum of score of the work experience and the score of the professional course is considered for selection under a common parameter of work experience.
Personal Interview (PI)
The Personal Interview (PI) is the next stage where candidates are assessed on their communication skills, academic background, personality, and suitability for the program.

The selection process for admission to LNMU varies depending on the course:
