IIM Bodh Gaya: Which Admission Year Does the Cutoff Cover?

CAT 2026 applicants are preparing for the next admission intake. The detailed Bodh Gaya figures on this page are the previous MBA 2026–28 policy, based on CAT 2025. They are useful for understanding how CAT, interview and profile scores work together; they are not confirmed CAT 2026 admission thresholds.

That intake required Indian citizenship and a qualifying undergraduate degree with 50% marks, relaxed to 45% for SC, ST and PwD. Eligibility to take CAT and the institute’s admission scoring are separate checks.

Previous Cutoff Reference

The 2026–28 policy printed these reference cutoffs for CAP 2026, with final thresholds subject to the CAT 2025 result. Percentiles are shown below.

Compare all three section scores as well as the overall percentile. A high overall result alone does not establish that a candidate clears every applicable requirement. The CAT cutoff guide explains the difference between a screening minimum and final selection.

How the Final Merit Score Worked

The previous final-merit weights were CAT scaled score 50%, interview 25%, academics 15% and work experience 10%. CAT percentile was not the CAT score used for this merit component. A minimum interview-performance requirement also applied before a candidate could enter the final merit list.

For example, a candidate meeting the Class 10 and graduation thresholds but falling below 70% in Class 12 would obtain 10 academic-profile points, not all 15. This illustrates the published bands; it does not estimate an admission offer.

Work Experience: Score and Evidence

Employment evidence included appointment letters, salary slips, relieving letters for past jobs, bank statements and at least one statutory record such as EPF, ESIC, NPS or Form 16. Cash or unpaid work did not qualify. Short employment periods and unpaid leave also affected the experience counted.

Do not total every period appearing on a CV and assume it earns points. Keep dates, salary records and employer documents aligned; a long work history and an accepted work-experience score are not automatically identical.

Offer Acceptance and Withdrawal

For the previous intake, the expression-of-interest deposit was INR 20,000 and offer acceptance required INR 80,000. Both were adjusted against Term I fees. Withdrawal by the institute’s specified deadline allowed a refund after a INR 1,000 processing deduction; later withdrawal had different, non-refundable consequences.

A merit-list position, expression of interest and admission offer are separate stages. Arrange the payment only against the applicable offer instructions and programme. These amounts describe the 2026–28 process, not a new 2027–29 fee schedule.
