IIM Rohtak CAT Cutoff: Category-Wise Percentiles

The CAT 2025 cutoffs for PGP 2026-28 were minimum aggregate percentiles for registration:

These were overall thresholds, not ten different sectional-cutoff rules. Rohtak's published table did not assign separate minimum percentiles to VARC, DILR and QA. Meeting the registration cutoff did not guarantee an interview call.

The disability-category entries were listed separately as DAP-General, DAP-EWS, DAP-NC-OBC, DAP-SC and DAP-ST. For example, DAP-General had an 87-percentile minimum, while DAP-ST had a 40-percentile minimum. Applying one common DAP cutoff would misstate the policy.

The intake was 264 seats for that batch. Offers depended on category-wise merit and seat availability under Government of India reservation rules. This seat figure and the percentile table belong to the completed admission intake, not the CAT 2026 selection cycle.

A registration minimum differs from the score at which the last candidate eventually receives an offer. The CAT cutoff guide covers that distinction across institutes.

Separate IIM Rohtak Application, Fee and Deadline

Selecting Rohtak in the CAT form did not complete its institute application. Every applicant still had to create a Rohtak login, submit the admission-data form and pay its registration fee within the deadline.

Rohtak sent eligible candidates a registration link by email. Submission of both the application and payment by the stipulated time was necessary for consideration in later stages. A saved form or an unpaid application did not satisfy both requirements.

If personal details conflicted, the information in the CAT registration form prevailed. This makes the CAT record important when filling the institute form; a different spelling or other changed detail should not be treated as an independent correction to CAT.

The CAT application process and Rohtak's institute registration are separate steps. The INR 3,095 fee above was not the CAT examination fee, the offer-acceptance payment or the programme tuition fee.

Personal Interview and Final Selection Weights

Shortlisted candidates received an email asking them to download the PI call letter. The call letter carried the interview date, time and instructions. Rohtak conducted its own interview; it did not take PI scores from other IIMs.

The diversity component covered academic and gender diversity together. The published policy did not break the twenty percent into separate academic and gender shares. It should therefore not be presented as a confirmed 10+10 split or as twenty percent for gender alone.

Relevant work experience was considered within the PI round. There was no separate published month-wise work-score table in these criteria. Adding an extra work-experience percentage to the three rows above would double-count a component or invent a new one.

Final offers followed the weighted merit list and available seats in each category. A high CAT percentile helped through the sixty-percent component, but it did not remove the PI and diversity components.

Offer Acceptance, Joining and Documents

An official offer was signed by the Controller of Examinations and sent from pgpadmission@iimrohtak.ac.in to the registered email address. The policy treated offers from other email addresses as invalid.

The offer-acceptance amount was specified in the individual offer letter and had to be paid through the admission portal. The associated bank sent the automated transaction receipt by email or text message. The policy did not give one universal acceptance amount to substitute for the letter.

The provisional confirmation letter then set the joining date, time, venue, fee structure, full-term-fee deadline and class schedule. Students had to pay the term and mess fees by the stated deadline and report as instructed.

Joining records included:

• CAT score and degree/marksheets for verification
• Updated category and income certificates, where applicable
• Government photo ID
• Student and parent affidavits
• Indemnity bond
• Vaccination certificate and medical fitness certificate
• Hostel-allocation application

At campus reporting, the admission team physically checked original records, including the CAT score, degree/marksheets, applicable category certificate and identity documents. An offer remained provisional until these formalities and fee requirements were completed.

Twin-sharing air-conditioned hostel rooms were allocated first-come, first-served, separately for male and female students. Ground-floor twin-sharing rooms were preferred for DAP students; the wording did not guarantee a specific room.

The two-year PGP awards an MBA degree after successful completion. The CAT admission process explains how institute offers, acceptance and reporting fit together; there is no single CAT allotment step that replaces Rohtak's joining requirements.

Withdrawal, Excess Payment and Refund Rules

Rohtak applied different procedures to withdrawing an admission and recovering an erroneous excess payment:

For admission withdrawal, the request had to be submitted before online programme registration through the institute's admission portal. Email or another mode did not count as a valid withdrawal request under this rule. Refunds were transferred to the candidate's own savings account after the INR 1,000 processing deduction.

The 150-180-day period for this refund started from programme registration, not the day the student sent the request. Refund requests after registration were not entertained.

An erroneous excess payment followed a different route. The applicant emailed payment proof and their own bank details to pgpadmission@iimrohtak.ac.in. Required bank details included the beneficiary name, savings-account number, bank name and IFSC. For this category, the stated processing period started from closure of the registration form.

The non-refundable INR 3,095 application fee was separate from the provisional-admission withdrawal rule. It should not be treated as refundable merely because admission fees could be returned before programme registration.
