How to access CAT Mock Test 2025 by IIM?

Below are the steps for accessing the CAT 2025 Mock Test by IIMs:

• Visit the CAT 2025 official website.
• Click on the CAT 2025 Mock Test Links.
• A PDF will open, and you will find three CAT Mock Test Links, click on the required one as per category. 
• A login page will open on a new window, click on “Sign In”.

• Carefully read all of the directions that appear on the screen and click on next. 

• Check the box for “I agree to the terms and conditions” after reading all the instructions.
• Click on “I am ready to begin”.

• After clicking that button, candidates will be able to begin the mock test right away.

CAT Mock Test Pattern

The CAT Mock Test Pattern will be the same as the CAT Exam Pattern. Candidates can refer to the below table to understand the CAT Mock Test Pattern:

Timer: The CAT exam duration is 120 minutes. There are three portions to the test- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). Each section has a time limit of 40 minutes for completion. 

• The timer in the top right corner of the screen will begin ticking once the mock exam begins. 
• The section will be locked after 40 minutes, or when the timer reaches 00:00, and the applicants will be routed to the next section.
• From one section, the candidates will be moved to the other section only after completing 40 minutes.

Calculator: To answer the numerical value questions, candidates can use the virtual calculator which can be found on the top right corner of the screen. 

Answering a Question: Once a question is displayed on the screen, read it carefully. To answer MCQ, questions select a bubble placed before each of the four choices in the form of radio buttons. For non-MCQ questions, type the answer in the space provided on the screen using the on-screen keyboard.

• If candidates are sure that their answer is correct, click the "Save and Next" button, and the next question will appear on the screen.
• If they’re not sure about their response, they can use the "Mark for Review & Next" option.
• To deselect any answer, candidates need to choose the question number on the question palette and click on the “Clear Response” button. They can then mark any other option and click on “Save and Next” or “Mark for Review and Next”.

Question Palette: The question palette on the right area of the screen will show all the question number options in different colours indicating attempted and unattempted questions.

Importance of CAT Mock Test

Studying the entire CAT 2025 syllabus alone would not help candidates succeed in the exam. It is necessary to have a real-time exam experience to offer one's best on the exam day. Mock examinations will give candidates a realistic experience of the CAT exam, allowing them to manage it with comfort and confidence. Experts recommend that during CAT Preparation, aspirants should attempt a minimum of 35 to 40 full-length online Mock Tests.

• Candidates can analyze their weak areas by practicing CAT Mock tests. They can improve the weak areas or topics by using a new strategy.
• Each segment of the CAT exam has a time limit. Attempting the CAT Mock Tests, candidates can train to time themselves to complete the desired range of questions in each segment within the given time limit.
• CAT is a two-hour online entrance exam that does not include a break. Candidates can improve their physical and mental stamina to withstand 120 minutes without stopping by taking a full-length CAT mock test of the same duration.
• Candidates might learn shortcuts and strategies to solve questions quicker by practicing mock examinations and sample papers. It also improves the candidate's mental calculation abilities.
