IIM Sambalpur CAT cutoff for the 2025–2027 batch has been released,90 percentile in general, EWS: 80 percentile,75 percentile for NC-OBC, SC: 55th percentile,40 percentile for ST/PwD.
The minimum percentile needed is lowered to 85 for all female candidates and general category candidates having at least one year of relevant job experience.
Those who pass the cutoff are asked to come in for an in-person interview. The candidate's CAT score, PI performance, and profile score are used to determine the final merit list.
IIM Sambalpur follows by the reservation policy of the Indian government. SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), PWD, and EWS candidates are the only ones eligible for seats.
IIM Sambalpur will take admission this year directly as it steps out from the CAP 2025. Unlike other IIMs, IIM Sambalpur will conduct the admission process in 3 stages:

CAT 2024-based Shortlisting
In Stage 1, all the eligible candidates who have appeared for CAT 2024 and have selected IIM Sambalpur as one of their preferences in the CAT 2024 registration form will be considered.
. IIM Sambalpur will first shortlist candidates who have secured a pre-determined minimum percentile both in each section as well as overall, in CAT 2024. Only candidates obtaining a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all the sections of CAT 2024 will be considered.

In January 2025, an email with a link to an online application form on the IIM Sambalpur admissions portal will be given to each of the candidates who made the Stage 1 shortlist. The candidate must fill out the online application and submit it before the deadline.

Stage 3 (Personal Interview and Final Merit List)
All qualified applicants will need to undergo the IIM Sambalpur Personal Interview (PI) procedure, which is based on the Stage-2 shortlist. The candidate would be eliminated from consideration for admission to IIM Sambalpur's MBA 2025–2027 batch if they do not attend the PI.

Offer Acceptance Policy
When an applicant receives an admission offer from IIM Sambalpur and accepts it before the deadline, they must submit the Offer Acceptance Form on the admission portal along with an Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs. 50,000. Not completing this within the Time,
the offer will expire if the deadline is missed. This amount will be deducted from the candidate's Term 1 fee if they ultimately enroll in the program.
