CAT Registration is ongoing on the official website from 3 August 2026, and the CAT registration last date is 15 September 2026. Aspirants can log on to the official website of CAT 2026 at iimcat.ac.in to register for CAT 2026. This year, IIM Indore will conduct the CAT 2026 examination on 29 November 2026.

  • The last date to apply for CAT 2026 is 15 September 2026.
  • CAT form correction window is expected to be live in the 3rd week of September 2026.
  • The CAT 2026 admit card will be available on 4 November 2026.
  • The CAT exam fee has been revised for 2026: INR 2,700 for General/OBC and INR 1,350 for SC/ST/PWD.

Last year, a total of 2.95 lakh students registered for the CAT, and out of these, 2.58 lakh students appeared. In 2024, 3,29,000 candidates registered for CAT, and out of these, 2,93,000 appeared for the examination. In 2023, around 3,25,000 candidates registered for the examination, and in 2022, 2,55,501 candidates registered for CAT.

CAT Registration 2026- Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for CAT 2026 exam, you must fulfil the below-listed CAT eligibility criteria.

  • Graduation degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 50% or equivalent CGPA in a bachelor's degree.
  • 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is offered to candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWD category.
  • There is no age limit to apply for CAT 2026.

Ans. No, CAT registration fee is not refundable. Once paid, you will not be able to get the fee refunded under any circumstances.

Ans. In case you face payment failure issues during CAT 2026 registration, check if your bank account is working and if merchant payments are allowed on your account. If the amount is deducted from your account, wait for 1-2 days till the payment status is updated. In case the issue still persists, you can connect with the concerned authority.
