• To calculate scores using the CAT 2026 response sheet, add +3 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each incorrect answer, and 0 for unattempted questions.

CAT 2026 Response Sheet- Objection Filing

CAT 2026 results can be filed for objection through the official portal during the window.

• Go to the official portal login with your credentials.
• Search for the Objection Form on the dashboard.
• Click on the (+) sign to add an objection.
• Select the question number, section, and the nature of the objection for CAT 2026 results.
• Attach documents or PDFs needed to justify the CAT 2026 results claim made.

Raw Score Formula:

CAT 2026 Response Sheet Score Calculator Example

A student in the QA section (22 questions) answers 12 MCQ questions correctly, gets 3 MCQ questions wrong, answers 4 TITA questions correctly, gets 2 TITA questions wrong, and leaves 1 MCQ unattempted.

QA Raw Score = (12 × 3) + (3 × -1) + (4 × 3) + (2 × 0) + (1 × 0) = 36 - 3 + 12 + 0 + 0 = 45

Worked example — Total raw score:

If the same student scores 38 in VARC, 32 in DILR, and 45 in QA:

Total Raw Score = 38 + 32 + 45 = 115 out of 204

CAT 2026 Response Sheet- Percentile Calculator

The CAT 2026 percentile is not the same as the marks you scored. The CAT 2026 percentile will tell you the percentage of students scoring less than or equal to you.

• The same formula is used to calculate the section-wise percentile for VARC, DILR, and QA.
• The percentile for each section for a single student can differ, affecting the overall percentile.

Percentile = (Number of students who obtained a scaled score ≤ your scaled score ÷ Total number of students who appeared across all sessions) × 100
