Yes. CAT eligibility is not restricted to engineers. A recognised bachelor’s degree with the applicable minimum marks can qualify. Professional and final-year routes also exist; an individual MBA programme can impose additional admission conditions.
Not on Class 12 alone. CAT requires the applicable degree, final-year degree status or completed professional-qualification route.
The CAT 2026 FAQ states that there is no age restriction. Academic and programme-specific eligibility still applies.
No. CAT assigns one session, and a candidate cannot appear more than once in the same cycle.
No. Wrong non-MCQs receive zero. Wrong MCQs attract a one-mark deduction. Both question types award three marks for a correct answer.
The 68-question figure belongs to the completed CAT 2025 exam. It must not be presented as a confirmed CAT 2026 question count.
No. Percentile is a relative score measure, not the percentage of marks obtained. It must not be read as 100% accuracy.
There is no one admission pass percentage for every CAT-accepting institute. Each programme applies its own criteria, which can include sectional cutoffs and later selection stages.
Not if the institute requires a minimum in every section. Compare VARC, DILR and QA separately with the correct programme and category row.
Provisional admission may be possible, but the admitting institute sets the completion and certificate deadlines. CAT eligibility does not waive those requirements.
No. Registered non-IIM institutions and individual programmes may require separate applications. CAT participation is not a common seat-allotment registration.
The published CAT 2026 bulletin says results are likely by the first week of January 2027. That is a tentative timeline; a specific December date should not be treated as announced.
